i used to work for KJAC prior to KBTV, we had a forum, it was the phone, we just didnt answer it, unless it was late at night than it was fun, because they were crazy, we were getting hammered, and they would have to call back the next day. we also got free phone sex late at night. hey, i am just sayin.
It is an interesting concept. It gives the public the opportunity to comment on any given subect they have seen or heard about and puts them closer to the news. It makes the reporter more responsible knowing that their story may be openly criticized within minutes of its delivery.
People don't like Philip Klein because they think he is a liar. He is irresponsible and posts things on the internet that frankly are hateful and untrue.
KBTV has a web poll on their website and a facebook page that they use with excess. Plus, forums are pretty damn lame. Take a look at the KFDM forum for proof.
