Really? an anonymous poll among news people as to which station is the best? I'm sure the big egos at the local TV stations will answer this with the same non-bias filter they use when choosing what stories to air.
Does KFDM have any really hard hitting news? I know the summer is slow, but damn, the last two nights I have fallen asleep in the middle of their 10pm newscast.

You known we are in a petrochemical industry (okay, so many of you "posters" may not realize that), and breaking news is "Breaking News" regardless, as viewers are watching all times as well as checking the websites. Layoffs were first on Fox as well as breaking into the 4PM news the day the bank robbery was taking place at Wachovia - not to mention breaking the stories first on the website.
Why in the hell did the Enterprise put Buna's logo on the front page? Would they have done the same if PNG had used the Redskin's logo, or Nederland used Mississippi State's logo???????? Pick on the small guys why don't you?????
So, what's the deal with the Beaumont Enterprise and this idiot Gator.....Why is he hating on teachers? Is he going after cancer victims and crippled children next?

I came across this blog. Your problem is felt by all small city markets. If your news people were any good, they would move to another, bigger money making market. You are going to get so-so stuff in your local market. I am sorry, you'll have to live with it. It sucks, but it is the truth. I know, I live in a small market and our news sucks really bad.

KFDM gets a news release at 3pm about Entergy sending employees to Louisiana...everyone else runs the story in at 4 and at 5.... kfdm runs it at 10 with a big logo that says New at 10? I would expect better from the number 1 station. I would think someone could pick up the phone and find at least 1 real new story for 10. Wake up! KBTV is going to overtake you.

The constable story is first class journalism. I can't believe Ch. 6 or 12 is not interested.....Then again, Ch. 6 is worried about their weather graphics. To hell with any actual story. I've have started to watch Ch. 4's 9pm News about 3 times a week.If you have not watched, they are starting to put on a pretty good product. Sorry Uncle Larry, it may be time to look to retirement. FOX 4 is the best news station ever!! I didn't even watch the news until, i stubled across them.. They are entertaining, interactive, and get the stories out!! Each member of the crew brings their own personality to the show... I never miss a day!

I don't know, I have been leaning toward Ch. 12 the past few months. They are putting on a pretty good broadcast.
12 is the worst, well....yeah the worst. Weather is better than both news & sports dept, who are the laziest of the 3.
Ware has the best sports, hands downs. The rest of fox is lame.

IMHO, Dave Hoefferth is far and away the best and most knowledgeable sports anchor. I switch from Channel Six to Channel 12 to watch his segment.
